Understanding AI credits
4 min read Last updated: April 2026
AI credits are the currency that powers Larna's intelligent features. Every time the AI generates notes, creates summaries, or answers questions for you, it uses credits.
How Credits Work
Each AI action costs a certain number of credits depending on the complexity of the task:
| Action | Credits Used |
|---|---|
| Generate a summary | 1 credit |
| Create flashcards | 2 credits |
| Ask AI a question | 1 credit |
| Full document analysis | 5 credits |
| Generate study plan | 3 credits |
How Many Credits Do I Get?
- Free Plan: 50 credits per month
- Premium Plan: Unlimited credits
Running low on credits?
You'll receive a notification when you're down to 10 credits. Unused credits from the Free plan do not roll over to the next month. Consider upgrading to Premium for unlimited access.
Checking Your Balance
You can view your remaining credits at any time by tapping your profile icon and selecting "Usage & Credits". A progress bar will show how many credits you've used this month.
